Himalaya Roots Organic's co-founder Shrimati Neetu Makin, before the formation of the CO, started a mission to stop the continuous migration of farmers from various hilly areas of Uttarakhand, under which she informed the farmers about organic farming and got them registered in the Uttarakhand organic community board and benefited from various schemes run by the government and got the organic products of the farmers sold in the market at a higher price.
